CBI on Friday said that no evidence has been found against Noida dentist Rajesh Talwar, who has been accused of murdering his teenaged daughter Aarushi."We have conveyed this to Ghaziabad court and asked it to pass appropriate orders on his bail application," the CBI said in a press briefing in New Delhi on Friday.
Noida police had no evidence against Dr Rajesh Talwar when it arrested him in May, CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar said.
No deception was found on the part of Dr Talwar and wife, Nupur, in polygraph tests, CBI said.
The Noida police charge that Rajesh Talwar was angry with his daughter as he had allegedly seen her in a "compromising" position was based on a statement made by one of the accused Krishna, CBI added.
Krishna, who is Dr Talwar's compounder, was hiding facts and misleading investigations, the CBI said.
The CBI Joint Director said that Dr Talwar had scolded Krishna two days before the twin murder. Krishna was agitated and discussed these with his friends.
The CBI said that Rajkumar, the domestic help of Praful and Anita Durrani, has confessed during narco-analysis test that he and Krishna killed Aarushi and Hemraj. Rajkumar has also lied in polygraph test.
Rajkumar, Krishna and Talwar's domestic help, Hemraj, consumed alcohol, went to Aarushi's room, gagged her and tried to sexually assault her, the CBI said.
"Rajkumar, Krishna and Vijay Mandal had drinks in Hemraj's room. Then they entered Aarushi's room. Krishna and Rajkumar tried to sexually abuse Aarushi. As she tried to scream, she was gagged and was hit by hard blunt object," said Kumar.
Hemraj was killed on the terrace before Aarushi, the CBI says.
"Krishna's blood sample was recovered from terrace of Talwars’ residence," said Kumar
Killers returned to Aarushi's room after killing Hemraj and murdered her too.
The senior CBI official said no sound was heard from the room where the crime was committed while the AC was on.
” Krishna emerged as an important suspect because when Nupur Talwar called on Hemraj’s mobile in the morning, it was answered by somebody and then hung up. The location of the mobile was in Jalvayu Vihar only and Krishna stayed in the area,” Kumar added.
“Krishna misled the CBI saying Hemraj and Aarushi was in a relationship but then psycho-analysis and narco-analysis was conducted on him,” Kumar said. Krishna was arrested on 13th June
Aarushi, the only daughter of Noida-based dentist couple - Rajesh and Nupur Talwar - and their domestic help Hemraj were found murdered on May 16. Dr Rajesh, who was the first to be arrested in the case among the three, has been in the judicial custody since May 23.
Rajkumar and Dr Talwar's Nepalese compounder Krishna were the other two arrested in the case. CBI took over the case from the Noida police after the latter's poor handling of the sensational case.
